PRINT MEDIA IN THE NEW TECHNOLOGY

OBJECTIVES:
  • to discuss the changes in positions of print media in the new media.
  • to identify the solutions that have been made of New Media Technology.

Media environment has changed dramatically over the past two decades due to popularization of internet and major steps taken in the field of technological development.

Internet has enabled consumers to easily access the larger amount of content of their interest supported by technological mobile solution such as smartphones and tablet's making it possible to access the desired content.

Millennial's don't watch  much television and read printed media. They get their news in New Media in real time for social media and news websites.

Because  of the technology print media industry have truly started to feel the impacts of increasing rivalry.

Subscription to especially newspapers and magazines have steadily decreasing and specially the younger the new technologies and sources of information.

The situations of print media is not hopeless but in order to ensure it's position as a noteworthy player also in the long run, it must accept it's place as a cooperator with digital media forms and seek to develop along side it into medias of mutual support in both ways.

Today's written media has changed dramatically and this has been more pronounced with the introduction of desktop publishing and the virtual media.

Presently, all major newspapers have their websites and these are continuously being modified to offer better reading comport to readers.

TYPES OF NEWS ONLINE
 

1. ONLINE NEWSPAPERS - Online Newspapers are considered new media for many of the same reasons as blogs. Online Newspapers blend multiple types of media and easily accesses and searched, users can also interact with some online newspapers via a comment feature.


2. ONLINE MAGAZINES - An Online Magazines shares some features with a blog and also with online newspapers, but it can be usually distinguished by it's approach to editorial control.






3. ONLINE FORUM - An Internet Forum, or message board, is an online discussion site where people can hold conversations in the form of posted messages. They differ form chat rooms in that messages are often longer than one line of text, and at least temporarily archived.
